Don’t vote…everything is OK.

….yeah, that is kind of an attention-getting phrase, isn’t it?

It really is the subject though.

As individuals we trip and stumble, observe and recoil. We convince ourselves that the world simply isnt as bad as it appears.

I think it might be a true human super power…that deliberate plausible deniability.

The truly important thing, is that somewhere along the line, our common sense and gut take a strangling grip of our senses and warn us.
Freedom is the ability to laugh at anyone, anytime, anywhere.
Liberty is the ability to show others how to be happy on their own terms.
Satisfaction is when you scream these things at the top of your lungs every day, and the only argument voiced is that of the cold night air telling you it’s time to crash.

Voting is that one last vestige of a Voice we have left in own government.

Don’t let it go. Trust your gut, Live free, talk liberal, and be satisfied that you’ve been heard. Vote every single chance you get.

Haiti needs you…

Hell, I think they need all of us.

I have been reading so much about the destruction.

I thought seeing truckloads of people trapped in two layers of cement being dug out by people with their bare hands was bad.

I was wrong.

You should DEFINITELY read this:
http://thatschurch.com/2010/01/13/its-getting-real-bad/
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34850519/ns/world_news-haiti_earthquake/

CNN’s coverage of the destruction is pretty good but what they aren’t mentioning much yet is what happens when large populations run out of food and water.

First they wake up, then they help each other, then they get tired. If there isn’t a relief system in place to provide some form of sustenance at that point, people start resorting to other methods to make sure they’re fed. This is where things get dangerous. When faced with starvation people will get desperate and hopefully a refugee campus will be erected that will be able to help enough of the population to stave off the looting and prevent rioting.

Anyhow…I have to take off everyone be safe and PLEASE help out here on CNN/MSNBC:

So…Katrina was the Army’s Fault.

Wow.

Just wow.

Apparently the Army Corps of Engineers is being held responsible for the poor maintenance of the levees in New Orleans, and consequentially responsible for innumerable damages resulting from th fall of the levee during Katrina’s wrath.

How the HELL did the military get held responsible for a non-military structure?

And even if they were the ones that built it 40 years ago…how would they have been responsible for it’s maintenance unless the state of Louisiana was paying for said maintenance…

…I don’t know. It really smells hokey to me and I guess I’ll have to research more, but man this just doesn’t sit right.
