During normal lapses of insanity…

The Plan…

I just finished watching Battlestar Gallactica – The Plan.

…sooner or later, I was expecting the directors and writers for this series to start bloating material and rehashing plots.
…and it didn’t happen. We get so much insight into the characters that we finally see.
In a quest to prove themselves greater than human, they only epitomized humanity.

Scientologists everywhere should be protesting this movie…makes them look even more like crooks and shenanigans…well…no harm in the truth I suppose…I know..random slam on the goobs that turned a novel by one guy into a religion..couldn’t help it.

This movie encourages me to stereotype Scientologists with the a-hole Cylons…I know random eh? It’s like seeing children having a temper tantrum instead of accepting truth when the universe presents it to them…anyhow…back on topic. The movie rocked.

And in the final moments of the movie, a short (abridged in the movie, here in its entirety for your pleasure) monologue rendered a point of view we can relate with, but never admit to…

I don’t want to be human. I want to see gamma rays!
I want to hear x-rays…And I…I wanna …I wanna smell dark matter.
Do you see the absurdity of what I am?
I can’t even express these things properly because I have to…
…I have to conceptualize complex ideas in this stupid, limiting spoken language!
I want to reach out…with something other than these prehensile paws
…and feel the solar wind of a supernova flowing over me!
…I’m a machine……and I can know much more…
…I could experience so much more, but I am trapped in this absurd body! …and WHY?
Because my five creators thought that God wanted it that way!

-John Cavil, “No Exit”.

The score at the end of the movie was astounding…loved it. Have a listen (sorry no leeching, you have to buy your own.)

What is a fekton?

Fekton is Shocking - Tonytown.comI have this infrequent habit of creating a word specifically in order to shrug of the negative karma the internet bestows upon me when I inadvertently use a fekton of language that would otherwise be considered profane, offensive, or ill-considered.

In this case, the word fekton specifically refers to an unimaginable amount of something, that is – so much of an object, item, or substance that it is immeasurable. Strangely enough this word rhymes very closely with a two word phrase that also describes an unimaginable amount of something.

fekton (fuhk tuhn)
(fuk’ tun)
1) An unimaginable amount of something; so much of an object, item, or substance that it is immeasurable.
2) A lot more than an ‘A$$ Load’ or ‘$h1t Ton’

Thats pretty much it. I have been taking a break from posting a regularly because, well…sometimes I need a break, and I’d prefer not to encumber my blog with a fekton of fluff πŸ˜‰

That said..yes, I am in fact a big dork that really does do this πŸ˜‰

It looked like just another Monday…

Seriously.

I thought it was Monday all over again.

I still cant walk. I am not *quite* as sick from the meds but when your feet don’t fit in your shoes what are you going to do, right?

Anyhow, it’s Tuesday morning. I am not feeling the love of luck I want and am pretty sure my very important plans for the afternoon and evening are shot to hell.

I am checking my Twitter feed and something VERY interesting comes flashing by…

French court convicts Church of #Scientology & 6 members of organized fraud. Stops short of banning church http://www.CNN.com #newcnn

I am immediately drawn to this. If you didn’t know, I simply hold the opinion that the Church of Scientology is the epitome of everything wrong a religious organization can do and stand for. I don’t hate them, I simply don’t believe that they as an entity hold any semblance of morally rewarding beliefs aside from teaching insane amounts of narcissism.

Here is the little feed entry from CNN:

French court convicts Church of Scientology of fraud
October 27, 2009 6:31 a.m. EDT
Paris, France (CNN) — A French court on Tuesday convicted the Church of Scientology and six of its members of organized fraud, but stopped short of banning the church.
The court also fined the members as much as 400,000 euros ($595,000) each.
The decision follows a three-week trial in May and June, during which two plaintiffs said they were defrauded by the organization, which is classified as a sect in France.

More details can be found HERE at Earthtimes.org

So…in my eyes…it’s not just an extension of Monday, something important and just occurred πŸ˜‰ It’s too bad the French goofed up their laws, they would have been able to dissolve the organization in France πŸ˜‰ …that would have made me warm and fuzzy.
