Just when I thought I was truly living in a karmic blessing…
Google and my WPStats report let me know that I am just not humble enough.
I know, if you look closely, you’ll notice this was because I was talking about someone else with those characteristics on my blog, but still.
You have to admit that it’s kind of funny 😉
So…I was relaxing and reading a book and this scary sound of something large is falling down the stairwell and I can hear a woman yell.
So I am up like lightning (a feat in and of itself) and get to the stairwell and I see this sizable layzboy chair had tumbled all the way down, and a look of shock on an old lady’s face at the top of the stairs.
I ask the lady if she’d like be to bring it back up for her. She says “Yes.” I go downstairs and in quickly get the chair on my shoulders, no…it wasn’t light.
After getting it all the way up, I set it down and ask if she’ d like help getting it into her living room. She said “Yes.” So she gets the light end and I pick up the chair and I nod to her to guide it. She starts pushing the chair back toward me instead of towards her apartment. Confused, I stop and start again, this time it’s clear she is trying to get this toward me quite deliberately.
I ask her again if she wants the LayZBoy in her living room, she says, “Yes.”
I pick up the chair and start towards her door, and she’s all of a sudden saying “No No No…”
I look at her again, cock my head with a very thoroughly confused look on my face. All of a sudden it dawns on me…
“Wait, umm…silla basura?”
“Si”
“Basura” And I make a gesture of throwing the chair down the stairs.
“Oh Si!”
**FACEPALM**
She’s throwing away the chair, and thought I was trying to snag it before it was put in the dumpster.
…English might not be Universal…but the Facepalm sure as hell is 😉
The silliest mistakes easily come to fruition with the best of intentions.

This man (Glenn Beck) is one of the primary reasons I don’t take Fox News very seriously. The guy sensationalizes everything, and throws in buzzwords and names and tries to sound like he has a clue about what he’s talking about. In the end so much useless babble has left his mouth that you *almost* think he might have talked over your head. The truth is that most of the time I don’t hear anything remotely coherent from him.
…but Jesus Monte Christo on a Pogo Stick the dude makes about as much sense as this cat…
What kind of news organization funds that kind of rogue bullshit on such a consistent level? It’s pretty sad that Jon Stewart is more highly regarded for real news reporting….well…it’s really awesome for Jon Stewart of the Daily Show (insert loads of applause and general merry-making here).
