Google Gears Rocks Your Mom!!!

Seriously though…well…maybe not your Mom, but the idea is sound, and it rocks everyone else that can use it.

Gears is pretty cool. If you’re using Firefox, and are a surfer/blogger using WordPress and/or Social networking venues, Gears adds functionality. Most importantly, if you’re using it, it will notify you when an online application includes additions functionality for Gears.

What gears does is allows your own system to do some of the grunt work in processing, allowing for your home powerhouse to take a bit of the load off the webserver you’re hitting, and speeding up some of the pages you hit the most…wordpress, google, gmail, and myspace just to name a few.

Highly recommended!

Addicted…

I’ve gone back into that mode….reading like it’s heroin.

Four books this week.

..and I’ve made sure I have more material than I know what to do with.

However.

I am particularly lacking in classical literature.

…if you have suggestions…I would be happy to read them 😉

Debate Night!!!!

The Final Debate!

Expect loads of details unmentioned, expect a lot of finger-pointing, expect mountains of dirty laundry.

And of course….

Expect me to be yelling my guts out like I was in the penalty box at a hockey game through it all.

Why?

If you read enough about the details on these issues you stop believing the rhetoric and start understanding that there are some serious policy differences between these guys. McCain doesnt like to lie, ergo you can tell when he’s talking on a subject where his plans benefit big business deliberately. Obama doesnt like to debate on energy because he is hardcore and wants to push in alternative energy sources earlier as opposed to what the energy lobbies are asking for (more time to be competitive financially), so he gets hit hard when discussing clean nuclear power and reluctance in offshore drilling.

It doesnt make these guys wrong…it simply tells you which you think would be better for US.

Ciao!
